new to audio and need help getting an amp
about 6 months ago i took out the stock infinity system in my 94 ES. I replaced all the speakers with
1 pair Reference Series REF5002I 5-1/4" Two-way
1 pair Reference Series REF9602I 6" x 9" Two-way
REF7541A 520 Watt 4-channel amplifier
2 1230W 12" Subwoofers
Power Handling, RMS: 300 Watts
Power Handling, Peak: 1200 Watts
Sensitivity: 92dB
Frequency Response (±3dB): 20Hz - 250Hz
Mounting Depth: 6-7/16"
Impedance: 4 Ohms
im thinking of buying this amp for the 2 12" i have right now but im thinking it might be too much power. but would be good because then i could upgrade to either the infinity KAPPA PERFECT 12.1 or KAPPA PERFECT12DVQ

would i be able to upgrade to either in the future with that 1200watt amp being able to push enought power?
thanks for the help!

The REF1211A would be plenty of power for any of those subs. It's a little overkill for your current subs as well as the Perfects. It's perfect for two DVQs wired for a 4ohm load though...

The DVQ is dual voice coils and more powerful.
He is correct about the Dual voice coils, but that does NOT make them more powerful. It simply changes the wiring options of the subs to match different amp OHM loads. If you pick an amp first, then let us know what you pick and we will help you get the correct sub. If you pick the sub first, we will help you get an amp that will run at the correct ohm load for that sub. The only difference between a Perfect 12.1 and a Perfect 12.1 DVC will be the final load presented to the amp.
