self-amp'd speakers?

Does anyone make speakers that have integrated amps anymore?

Or, separate mini-amps that are made to sit right on the individual speakers.

Either way, something in the 100watt range would be cool.

Yah, I'm burning up google tonight. I'll probably end up with a Blaupunkt 2125 partially because it's only 1.5" thick but mostly for the efficiency of design, low to no heat, and freq response.

The only speakers I've ever seen with "built-in" amps are OEM ones. Bose and Infinity OEM used to do this quite a bit, but then went to a more reliable single amp design. Those amp on speaker designs were very, very prone to failure...
