I'm a new member here on the forum, so hello everyone!

At the age of 13, I remember when the LH cars debuted for the 1993 model year and I fell in love with them immediately. When everyone else was going gaga over the new Camaro or some other sports car, I was in love with the LH cars. I loved its sporty, muscular look and thought they were one of the most forward-thinking (not just cab-forward!) designs on the road that felt WAY ahead of its time.

I remember in the summer of 1994 when our family car took a dump literally the day before we were set for a 12 hour drive to go see family, so the morning we left, we went to a car rental place and rented a brand new Dodge Intrepid for the trip. At the time, our family car was a diminutive little 1984 Nissan Sentra hatchback, so riding in a big, solid, quiet brand new Intrepid was AWESOME! I remember when we arrived at our family's place, my dad took the Intrepid out with my uncle riding shotgun and me in the backseat, and he ripped that sucker around the backroads at speed, and I was amazed at how well it handled and gripped the road. I already loved the looks from all the magazines I had read beforehand, but that trip only served to cement my love for LH cars.

Then in 1998 the second gen LH cars debuted and it was love at first sight all over again. I just loved their smooth and streamlined styling from nose to tail, as well as the new engine options (except that danged 2.7L!), and the boost in the 3.5L's power.

I have never owned an LH car(!), but I have always loved them - both first and second gen models - and I'm looking to change that sometime in the next year though. I am also looking to learn about doing my own mechanical and maintenance work as well. I don't like all the electronic wizardry of today's cars that make it so difficult for backyard mechanics to maintain their cars, so I think the LH platform is a good way to learn. But for now, I am just looking to learn more about these LH cars we all love, so that way I'll be an even better owner when I finally get one! It won't matter if it's an Intrepid, Concorde, 300M or LHS, I love 'em all! I just want to (eventually) own one and enjoy it.

Cheers and happy driving!
