Hello anybody!
I would like to say thank you guys for the forum and getting opportunity of conversation with you.
It is my first experience of discussion on foreign language.
My name is Denis and I am own of Dodge Intrepid 2.7L 2002.

I would like to discuss the following questions interesting for me:
1. What is the easiest to get way of car power increasing (for example, for 2.7L from 200 to 300 hp) without missing of car operating life and engine changing;
2. What is a car the most similar kit for engine changing fits on Dodge Intrepid 2.7L 2002 (for example, from V6 to V8, Dodge Magnum 5.7L 2003).

Thanks in advance for your answers.

You aren't going to find any real noticeable performance modifications for the 2.7 or 3.5L engines that are offered for the LH platform vehicles (intrepid, 300m, Concorde, lhs). The 3.5L is the only thing close to a direct swap. Dan (goes by Daytrepper on here) wrote a book on doing to swap.

Thank you very mach for your answer, bh1992.
I know the practice of changing engines between 2.7 and 3.5 exists and it is often used in Russia, but my question focuses at another.
I mean that whether a way exists to upgrade 2.7L engine with mechanical compressor or turbo (including a kit of corresponding cylinder pistons & crankshaft).

actually 2006 charger body! # saturn # user cp?
photos ir it didn;t happen ping ping!!
I don't understand you, my friend. Sorry.

I would ignore posts from Fast Eddie. He has had a habit of posting replies that either make no sense or just aren't accurate, as in the post above.
Thank you my friend for your advice. I'm using it)

In common, I would like to change my 2.7L 2002 to 5.7L from Magnum 2003 (with its transmission and 4wd), but I don't know how such swap is executed, what scope of work needs to implement by me (including a reprogramming of PCM).

Thanks in advance for your answers.

The “search” function on this forum is pretty much useless on older threads, but if you use the Google Custom Search part of this site (see below), you can at least find them.

Select magnifying glass in upper right corner, then Google Custom Search. Try searching on things like “RWD conversion”. The first few hits will be results outside this site, then below that, you will see results on just this site. You’ll find a lot of threads that are dead end because the question has been asked often, but it quickly becomes obvious that it would be a difficult task, but I think there may be one or two threads where someone actually did a rear wheel drive conversion (probably not 4-wheel drive), or reports on someone doing it outside of this site. I think there will be a lot of structural modifications needed, and maybe some stiffening.

Good luck in your reading - let us know if you start the project.

The Magnum Wagon was produced from 2005-2008 in V6/V8 RWD/AWD versions. If it came with a V8 the Transmission would be a 5 speed automatic NAG-1 from Mercedes.

You're looking at big Chassis modifications for a modern Hemi V8 RWD install and it's unknown if AWD is even possible. There's no reprogramming of the PCM possibleas all Intrepids were V6 cars and you want to put a V8 in. Then there's the Communications Bus within the cars. LH (Intrepid) use a PCI Bus and LX(Magnum/300/Charger/Challenger) use a CAN Bus. There should be "Stand alone" Engine controllers as many people put modern Hemis ion old Muscle cars here in the USA. Good Luck!!

This is the 2006 Magnum SRT-8 I used to own. 6.1L V8 RWD.
