my curiosity was killing me so i decided to try and time it myself using the only stopwatch i had... my cell phone. not very scientific, i know, but it's the best i can do at 1 am.
and i'm sad to report that the numbers were similar to what concordia posted... according to the cell phone, 0-60 in 8.9 seconds. of course, it's 100 degrees here (at 1 am!!) and it was on an ever-so-slight incline, but still... i was hoping for better. but hey, it was fast enough to show tail light to an es300 earlier today, so i'm still happy. and it's a gorgeous, fun to drive car! just a little slow off the line, i guess.
makes me wonder how edmunds got 8.4 seconds out of a 2.7L. must have to do with temp/altitude/humidity and testing equipment. if anyone can corroborate my numbers i'd be much obliged!
we should start a thread where everyone posts their testing conditions, equipment and 0-60 times.
