Hey, I'm obviously new

I'm new to the forums, but I registered a long time ago. My parents car, gotten from my grandparents, is a 1997 Intrepid 3.3l. I'm 15 1/2, so I'll be getting the beast when I turn 16, and I know the thing's powerful, first off, It's a Dodge, and my grandfather selected it. He was always a Dodge/Mopar guy...Excuse me but I am a car namesake/history noobie. What are the differences between Mopar and Dodge? Back to what i was saying...he was a Dodge/mopar guy, and chose this, and kept it in good condition, driving my Grandmother's Ford wagon, and the thing has less then 50k on it! And my mom's been driving it since we got it last November, and the thing is thouroughly, cosmetically screwed. Dings everywhere, paint scratches...it's appalling. But it's the same blue sparkle as January 2004's car of the month color. Nice, powerful and It'll be seriously powered up and cleaned up when I get it.

Welcome!! Mopar was initially what they called their OEM parts, short for MOtor PARts, but eventually became slang for Chrysler Corporation and their various models. You know, "What do you drive?" "A Mopar" or "A GM" wnen in reality it may have been a Desoto or an Oldsmobile.
You should be proud to own a fine automobile as the Intrepid. Don't get too hung up on the dings and nicks, as it will probably get a few more with time, just like we all experience either by ourselves or compliments of someone else. But if you want to spend the time, try one of those "paintless" dent pullers to get some of the worst ones out, and lots of elbow grease on the finish with a good cleaner and a good wax product. Sometimes you can hide dents with striping or graphics.
Don't be afraid of asking questions as there are a lot of knowledgeable people here with some good ideas and suggestions.
