Westleys bleche white and Chrome...?

I noticed it says to keep OFF Aluminum and something other wheels, but how will my chrome hold up? I am a little worried.

Well, it says to not contact "non-rubber" areas. I would think chrome wheels is considered "non-rubber". This stuff is only for tires. I use it. But for wheels I use Griot's Garage wheel cleaner (good stuff if you want a wheel cleaner).

Well, I want to clean the tires, but I do not want to spend the money to get the wheels taken off and then put back on.

Just looking to clean them up before putting them in storage for the winter.

Either dish soap or car wash liquid is the only thing I can think of that will work to clean the tires and not damage the wheels.

I don't think you have to worry too much about overspray. Just don't use it directly on the wheel. The wheel cleaner should clean any overspray off. But if you want to play it safe, than go the dish soap route.

You may also want to try this --> http://www.griotsgarage.com/catalog....1002&SKU=11136

I haven't personally used this particular product, but I have used other products and they all are pretty safe.

This is the wheel cleaner I was talking about --> http://www.griotsgarage.com/catalog....1002&SKU=11106

I bought a gallon of that stuff. The dirt just wipes off. No hard rubbing is required. It's great.

Since you mentioned winter storage, I also polish the wheels before storage with Meguiar's NXT Metal Polysh --> http://www.meguiars.com/?wheel-care/...l-Metal-Polysh

I also polish them before I put them back on the car.

That polish looks promising, what about Microscopic Diminishing Abrasive Technology (MDAT).

If I read that right is an abrasive, have you noticed any scratches after using it?

I can testify it screws up aluminum; probably will do the same to chrome. Rather than spraying it on the tire, try spraying it on a cloth and wiping it on the tire. Works for me and keeps the spray off the wheel.
