What do you suggest?

The metal on the side of my car windows (and pillars) looks streaky....what will make this look better?

The first thing I'd try is something to polish it up a bit, like Mequiars ColorX or maybe even their ScratchX if that didn't work. After that, you might be looking at simply repainting that piece of trim.

I use ...Mother's Back to Black Exterior bumper and trim care...After applying, it takes a lot of rubbing with a clean dry cloth, but it'll look like new when you're done.

The Back to Black from Mothers.

I didn't have luck with it on my trim like yours, however mine was in great shape compared to yours too. I would suggest that. It can't hurt and it isn't too expensive.

Back to Black works, but it's not a permanent fix. For a more permanant fix, you have two options. The Poilshed Stainless pieces from ebay to cover those and the B Pillars, or you can just paint them. Paint might be a bit time consuming, but not really, not to mention, if you clear-coat it enough, and with proper wet-sanding, will look just like the gloss stuff on the M's.

I used to use the back to black stuff. It only last till it rains and that is about it. If you paint it it will be alot nicer.

I had some vinyl (from the local sign shop) on mine similiar to the car color but it started to fade after a year or so. I am going to put vinyl on again just this time I will do black vinyl.

I use TireWet in the spray bottle with a small rag, and rub it on that piece and the rest of the black trim areas including the mirrors.........
