Hey, my paint is looking really dull, probably because it was never
buffed out by it's previous owner. I don't think just having it buffed
will bring it back so I was thinking of having a shot of clear put on.
Any thoughts? My car is an '03 and it's white.

get it detailed...and tell them to wax, polish, and buff the hell out of it...should cost a little over $100...and they will do the inside too

Seriously get it polished first by a professional with a rotary wheel. It will bring it back, despite your doubts, I detail and I'm still suprised by the overall awesomeness of polishing. Other then that, dont just get clear thrown on it, it will most likely look horrible.
