Just thinking

So this might be a weird question, but I have this stuff called Doc Balm for Dr. Martens shoes that I hardly ever use although it is really good stuff on leather shoes. It's not a shoe polish but it says it restores, protects and conditions most leather. The only leather I have on my car is my new leather steering wheel, but I was just curious as to what you guys think of using it on leather interiors?

Surprised no one has any input. I would think as long as it is genuine leather and not pleather then why would it do any damage? Probably cleans well too...try it on the steering wheel. Take one for the team!

Be careful on the steering wheel, you just don't want anything making it slippery.

keep in mind that "shoe leather" is nothing like "seat leather." Most cars interiors are more vinyl than leather anymore. I've never considered using shoe cleaner on my interior simply because the $4 bottle of Meguire's Leather Conditioner I have does the trick just fine.

^^ Second the first part about the leather being different. If your wanting to keep your leather in perfect condition what I recommend you doing is getting a semi-hard bristle brush, get some Woolite, yes Woolite, mix it 6:1 or 10:1, clean the leather, go back over it with a damp towel to get any residue possibly left over and apply some Lexol or Four Star. Heck, if your hardcore about detailing like I am get you a steamer and you can do wonders with that on a car. Not the paint though!
