How to clean Stock Mag Rims

Any recomendations? They are looking pretty pathetic right now.

They have some kind of plastic coating on parts of the wheel, and it looks pretty sad around the edge of the rim, its all scuffed up and it doesn't want to come off. I've shined it as best I can. any suggestions would be apreciated

If it has clear coat that is chipping and peeling, the only way I know is to sand. There might be a stripper safe for aluminun but I dont know of one.....

If you scuff the old clear coat up with dark gray #6448 or maroon #7447 Scotchbrite enough to get rid of the flaky or oxidized look, shooting them with clear coat will make them look new again. You MUST get rid of the oxidized stuff first,, though. I re-cleared my Fiero wheels successfully, after the clear on them oxidized pretty badly. 3-4 coats will last for years if you keep them waxed.
