accessorizing

I love my 2nd Gen ES, my car before was an Escort, BIG step up. I recently put on a set of LED washer spray nozzles and I have got to say that it was the hardest and messiest install I have had yet.
It was such a pain in the rear end, and I don't have any of the proper tools to do anything, but they sure look good
;)
There is a lot of residual clean up and detailing when I get the proper tools, I had to actually cut a hole in the bottom of hood, as soon as I can find my digital cable link for my camera I will post Pics. I'm still waiting for a ground effects kit, any news on that?

Speaking of which, a friend of mine stated to me last night: "Damn those Intrepids would look killer with ground effects". I thought about it, remembered all the complaints about showcars, and will never see that dream come through.

Why was it so hard for you? I installed washer nozzle lights on mine it wasnt too hard besides figuring out the wiring...

And why did you cut a hole in the hood?

On the 2nd gen the nozzles are right up next to the edge of the hood, when you lift the hood you will see that there is a fold of the sheet metal covering the underneath of the nozzle location, which is fine because the stock nozzles are put in from the top of the hood, but doesn't allow any room for the hose to come out the bottom of the aftermarket LED nozzle, also on all the LED nozzles I have used you don't have the standard clip in place nozzle, you have to be able to get at it from underneath so you can put the nuts on to keep them in place. So in order to keep my streams functional I had to cut out the sheet metal below the nozzle holes, I also ran into a hitch with the hose because the nozzle that i bought was smaller than the hose so I took very small zip ties and used them like clamps to keep them hooked up. If I had known just how much work it would have been, I would have made sure I had the proper cutting tools or maybe thought about it more. They look GREAT on the car and really draws peoples attention, I just need to clean it up a bit.

Looking at that Showcars link, doesn't the first 2nd gen green Intrepid look like a Sunfire with the new front end?

Yes you can have them on if you are parked. But honestly blue washer nozzles are something that just depends on the police officer really. If he is an asshole and/or pissed off he will more than likely stop your ass for it. Its like a 200 dollar ticket in Alabama for illegal equipment on an automobile.
