How much transmission fluid needed?

I took my 2003 Chrysler 300M to a local garage with a small oil leak...and ended up with the gearbox and engine out to fix a leak between the transmission and engine...

I bought 9 litres of ATF+4, after searching and finding that 8.1 litres was the maximum needed if the torque converter was also filled...but the garage say theu put in 10 this possible?

Depends; if they drained and reinstalled your transmission after repairing the leak, chances are it will only take 5-6 quarts---or roughly 6 liters to refill; you wont need the full 8.1 liters unless the trans was rebuilt or disassembled and is dry.

Hard to say on the situation; if they flushed; etc; might have used 10 liters.
