Cruise Control , kickin on and stalling car, Arrrrrgghh!!

Hello, i have a 93 eagle vision, the problem im having is this, its starts and im driving down the road, and all of a sudden the cruise will kick on the rpm gauge will go all the way down to between 1 and o , then the engine dies, ill pull off of the road , wait a min or two, start it again and go, it does it and random times , i could be going 35 or 55 or 15 and it will do it, have tried to fix it by taking out the Cruise control fuse on the side of the door panel , but it still does it, any thoughts?

Sounds to me like it could be the Crankshaft position sensor. There's a ton of threads around here about the engine cutting out and cruise control light coming on when the crankshaft position sensor is faulty.
