I could go on and on about this car, but I think it is the consummate modern Chrysler form of muscle and I couldn't be much happier with this design direction. It was just this past Saturday that I remarked to a driver of a HEMI Ram what a shame it was that the HEMI wasn't supercharged. I went home and discovered the joyous news for myself about the aspiration of the Magnum SRT-8. This guy went on to tell me that with a performance chip and 3" exhaust that the 345 HP that are stock could go to 500 HP. Think of what can be done to the Magnum SRT-8
I would like to see a sedan and/or coupe version of this though so it has appeal to those who don't care for a wagon. Also, are there any plans for an SRT-6 or can we just think of the LH cars as such?

Originally posted by intrepitor I don't think you could accomplish that with just exhaust and a chip......would be nice though.
That's what he told me and he seemed like a pretty credible source so that's why I passed the information along. On one hand it sounds decently reasonable and on the other hand it seems a bit far fetched, but at this point I can neither confirm nor deny that information.
Either way, the return of the HEMI is great and I greatly anticipate what can be done with it.
6.1 HEMI? Come on, Chrysler, enough of the smaller HEMIs... I want to see the 426 re-engineered and reintroduced for serious performance applications in new vehicles. I'm not talking about crate engines because they don't go in what's currently produced. We have a good small-block HEMI (the 5.7 liter 353) and just need a good big-block HEMI now. What do you think?
