Smile Look out Ford and GM!

I could go on and on about this car, but I think it is the consummate modern Chrysler form of muscle and I couldn't be much happier with this design direction. It was just this past Saturday that I remarked to a driver of a HEMI Ram what a shame it was that the HEMI wasn't supercharged. I went home and discovered the joyous news for myself about the aspiration of the Magnum SRT-8. This guy went on to tell me that with a performance chip and 3" exhaust that the 345 HP that are stock could go to 500 HP. Think of what can be done to the Magnum SRT-8

I would like to see a sedan and/or coupe version of this though so it has appeal to those who don't care for a wagon. Also, are there any plans for an SRT-6 or can we just think of the LH cars as such?

Kenne Bell is supercharging the 5.7 and it produces 500 hp. I don't think you could accomplish that with just exhaust and a chip......would be nice though.

That's what he told me and he seemed like a pretty credible source so that's why I passed the information along. On one hand it sounds decently reasonable and on the other hand it seems a bit far fetched, but at this point I can neither confirm nor deny that information.

Either way, the return of the HEMI is great and I greatly anticipate what can be done with it.

I doubt there would be a "chip" made for them. Most OBD2 recalibration is done with handheld aftermarket devices

Hey has anyone been on the Hennessey web site lately?

Dodge Ram Truck - Hemi 400 HP Engine Upgrade System

Upgrade includes:

Stainless steel exhaust system
Stainless steel long tube headers
Custom air induction system
Ported/polished cylinder heads
All necessary gaskets & fluids
Professional installation
Chassis dyno & road testing
Limited 2 yr. / 24,000 mile warranty

Just an idea what it takes to make 400hp naturally aspirated.
All for $7500? Seems a little much to me. Especially when the Kenne Bell kit comes out.

Just wait for the 6.1 HEMI in the LX with 426 horsepower.

6.1 HEMI? Come on, Chrysler, enough of the smaller HEMIs... I want to see the 426 re-engineered and reintroduced for serious performance applications in new vehicles. I'm not talking about crate engines because they don't go in what's currently produced. We have a good small-block HEMI (the 5.7 liter 353) and just need a good big-block HEMI now. What do you think?

omfg, a reintroduced 426, that would be sick. Espically considering they base top fuel dragsters off a 426 block, imagine what you could do to THOSE. lol now just imagine if it went in an intrepd.
