Smile Magnum R/T: Never Looking Back...

Greetings all...

Traded in my Loaded 2000 Trep ES yesterday for a magnesium (green) Magnum R/T ...I thought I'd shed a tear or miss it a little, but now I don't even remember what color it was!!!!

If you haven't test driven one of these babies yet, DO IT!! ITS A ROCKET!

On Monday I left a standing request with my dealer to call when he got an R/T in, any color except black (looks too much like a hearse for my liking)...

...he called yesterday and told me that he had two that were just rolling off the truck. One of them had all the options I wanted and it just happened to be this Magnesium color. I called it green, but the more I look at it maybe it's blue??? Blue/Green??? Hell, I thought my trep was brown 'til I looked at the sticker one day and saw that it was "cinnamon".

Anyway, I really do like the color as well.

it's raining now in Chicago, but if it clears up while its still daylight I'll snap some pics and post them.

I'm in NW Indiana, so yea Chicagoland. I usually do all my business with Thomas Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep or Southlake Dodge personally. Have heard of Bettenhausen though.

WOW... I just drove an Inferno Red Magnum R/T today. I've been drooling over the darn things since I first heard about them over a year ago.

Well, there's certainly a difference between the SXT (3.5L LH engine, but there's a new intake manifold on it) and the R/T. Goll darn that thing just puts you back in the seat. Uhhhhhhh... and that fabulous smooth Mercedes trany. Holy crumb, its awesome!

I got a call from my dealer last night that one was coming in today from a dealer trade (for a minivan... LOL). They asked if I wanted to at least come test drive an R/T. They know I'm waiting for the all-wheel-drive version this fall.

It was torture... I almost handed them the keys to my 2001 ES Trep after getting out of the thing... ;)

After I got back in my trep for the ride home, I realized just how much juice that "hemi" has. Holy crumb! Now my trep feels like a real dog :( Oh well, you can't have everything. But I'd like to get one last awesome car before I have to get spouse approval ;)

If you haven't, go try to test drive one in your area. Worth the experience even if you can't buy one
