AWD Magnum Reivew In Autoweek

This weeks Autoweek has a review of the Magnum AWD. It got stellar reviews but the best part is...they state that the regular rwd with the traction / stability control is a piece of cake to drive in bad weather.

Not surprised at all. Chrysler seemed to do their best to try and make a RWD car drive like a FWD car, except without the torque steer. Did they say what the power balance was between the front and the rear?

As per the Autoweek article:

"The AWD transmits 32% of torque to the front wheels and 68% to the rear. This is slightly more rear bias than the 35-65 split in the Suburu WRX STi."

It also expects 0-60 to be around 6.8 and says the AWD adds 200 lbs.

Well, I like Car And Drivers review of the Nissan(2004) front drivers. Quote "the most dangerous cars on the planet, even with thier low power output they will not track in a straight line. The driveline feels as if its 20 years out of date. They should look to Chrysler for how to do a front drive system that is safe" end quote.
They went on to say the Altima shoud be called unsafe with its handling performace, all it wanted to do was wander into oncomming traffic or hunt the guardrail.
This was stated on thier TV show when they tested the Nissan.

so let adapa.. keep his nissan crap, who cares..

Anyone note the Nissan Quest adds for thier "Fold away seats?" They don't but had to lie because they have a model that missed the mark completly when the stow and go seating came out on the Dodge's and Chrysler's
Nissan = Joke

Autoweek said the same thing about the Maxima in one of their driver's logs a few months back. Hmm.....what do they know.
