midwest travellers

i know gorm is coming and he is in iowa, but who else is coming from the midwest? i would probably be driving alone, and do not want to make a 14 hour trip all alone. Shamrock? anyone from chicago? i know theres people in indiana that are probably coming, and i am about 3.5 hours west of indianapolis. I understand that those other people would be in their cars, and i dont mind being alone in my car, i just would not want to drive that far without someone else on the road with me in case of any problems i may have, and just the fact of having some company haha. if anyone is willing to caravan, please let me know

here to PA is a lot different than here to chicago.

I will be heading through chicago. This time though I might have someone with me to talk to. Really sucks doing 14 or so hours with nothing but wind and the radio.

yeah exactly. i am trying to work out something with crombie for getting into the showfield, but that does me no good for caravans since hes on the east coast. do you ever caravan with anyone else? from the general chat thread, i got that gorm was coming and probably shamrock as well. shamrock lives like an hour and a half from me and gorm lives somewhat close (within a couple hours) to him as far as i know.

i just mapped it out and its saying to take - for the majority of the time at least - I-70, and then I-76 (portions toll), and then I-81. it is saying that i drive on I-76 for 152.8 miles. are there tolls all along there, or every so many miles? i have no clue because i have never lived anywhere that you had to pay to use a public road. i also saw people talking about some easy pass thing for $50, so maybe that is a possibility. damn this might get expensive.

Yea I have to come through chicago since I am coming from Wisconsin. Though Tim since you are coming from St. Louis I think you should be able to take 70 to pittsburgh then a little ways after that is the same toll road to Harrisburg. That won't have any tolls on it till PA. Would be alright if you really want to go out of your way to get to Chicago. For toll prices for me chicago is about $8, Indiana $4.15, Ohio about $8, and PA about $18 to Harrisburg. And that is one way. The tolls are not like chicago. They just make you take a ticket when you enter the highway and pay the price depending on when you exit off the highway. Oh and gas stations and food places are located right on the highway so that is kind of nice.

I imagine we will run into each other again on the Interstate.

If anyone uses I-80 thru Ohio I am at EXIT 1A (Toledo) 150 miles to I-76 then 250 from there. I wouldn't mind caravaning.

I will have to see if I will be going or not. I'm in the process of buying a house and just may not have the funds to hang out. But I'm sure I might be able to squeeze it in. If I get it bought I will send you guys some pictures. Keep your fingers crossed.
