And the truth is that I'm going to end up going with joeKD's version anyway. that should happen this week or next week i think. I did finally get the Stratus sold, so the money flow should start helping my enitre craving for modifying this intrepid quickly.... the intake should tide me over for a bit..
but then i just found out her dad got the new magnum w/ the 3.5 in it...
so if i could eventually talk him into getting the hemi, then i could endup with the 3.5!
YESSS!!!!!
and i honestly think that's all this FWD car should run in it probably...
what do you guys think?

And if i do go w/ JoeKD's deal, wouldn't i be better off shoving some fairly cold air into that little resevour as well?

spikeinme It does look a little off to me ass well. I would think if they were photoshopping the pic they'd at least take the gap out between the hood and the bumper.

On the other hand, something like this could really help when I start trying to ram more air into my intake. I'm not sure that it would be all that feasable price wise, but when you factor in looks... maybe so? it looks pretty dramatic, but the stickers that came on my car are pretty stinkin dramatic too... so hey, drama it is I guess.

Agreed I went to E.D. website and it says "spyder 3 hood" doesn't say anything about it being a hood skin...

That totaly turned me off about the idea.

trepman If not for those "things" on the sides of the bump, it might make an otherwise nice looking functional cowl induction project.
Though a simple Harwood cowl induction mold on is much much cheaper.
No more cones in the fender.

3.5L Intrepid I know this thread is old but, I found another source beside direct from E.D. and found out a few things about the product.

Brand: Extreme Dimensions
Details: Universal Spyder 3 Hood scoop will look great on any car. It is the skin of the hood and must be molded onto your OEM hood. One of a kind hood scoop giving your vehicle that exotic look. Our most popular hood scoop.
Installation: This is Not a complete hood - HOOD SCOOP ADDON - Professional help recommended for installation. Cutting and puddy work required. Heres the website I found it on so you can see a few different angles.

Dang RCE, you're good.
Thanks for the ego boost! Seems odd that the rep is having a hard time finding pics of that hood. Between that, and the fact that the pic that does exist looks doctored, something sounds shady. I wouldn't be paying that amount of money for that hood, the way it looks now. Add shipping and you're looking at over $500.

tIntDokTer see if you can get a weight on one compared to the stock hood.
