taxman I was at the dealer yesterday for some warranty work, and while they were aware of the media coverage of the recall, they have not gotten anything officially yet from DC.

My understanding is the recall is for all 1998-2002 non-power seat cars, and 1998-2000 power seat cars.

To make a long story short, when I bring the car back to fix a door seal and a trunk "3.5" badge that was ordered, they hopefully will be able to do the recall as well.

creepingdeath Gee, guess what happened to me yesterday! I got into my car after work !BAM! the damn seat recliner bolt broke. I then remembered the recall, I went to the dealer to ask them about it, they said that it was limited to the "power" seat models. Long story short, I went to the hardware store bought a 1/4 inch bolt with a nylock nut, drilled out as 1/4" hole and !BOOM! got my seat back in workin' order! (thought I throw some John Madden in there). It's just best to do it yer damn self sometimes. The dealer also said that I would have to purchase the whole seat assembly....just to replace a stupid bolt!

SK-SXT I wonder if this is due to a "poor quality item from a parts supplier" or if DC "designed" it this way?
