Among the younger drivers, Kenseth is the most overlooked.
He's certainly not fawned over, and he does make for a pretty dull interview.
He's about to force the media to pay attention, and that's not the same thing at all.

Hell almost a day doesn't go by that I hear something about him being a prissy "purdy boy" coming out of former professional drivers own mouths.|

Matt certainly isn't one of the golden boys, and neither was Sterling last year.
The rumblings began last year (or re-surfaced) and IMO it was because none of the anointed Nascar princes could catch Sterling, even though he had some fairly mediocre finishes toward midseason.
There have been lapped cars and battle damaged cars making laps since forever...
and now it's a problem????
I just wonder if one their over-stroked pretty boys was leading if all of this bitching about the points system would even be going on...

I am not into all that sponser nonsense in any type of sport. I mean look, Comiskey park turns into US Cellular field!? WTF is that shit man, this is a company which I am sure most have't heard of, and either way, they might not be in existance in 2 years. Then what? Pull a Enron job, and sell the name!? lmao that's sad.|

Let the points system stay the way it is until they change the name of the championship.
Even if they change the rules, they won't change them drastically enough for Kenseth to be unseated. He's about 300 points ahead!
He could sit out the next two races, and Dale Jr. can get 1st place in those two, and Kenseth would be down by 20 points or something. The margin of Kenseth's lead is too much for Jr. to beat at this point of the season.

|JapCrapHater||I think that Nascar should do what INDY does wiith lapped or damaged cars....Take them off of the track. The cars that are only one lap down can usually get back in contention by pit strategy, but if they are 2 or more laps down....OFF OF THE TRACK! No wrecked cars allowed back on the track. They always seem to leave debris,or they are just in the way of the race.|

Actually, if they incorporate the point sustems of either CART, IRL, and a couple other sanctioning bodies, it does change the points standing but it seems that damaged cars on the track to pick up a few points will be a thing of the past
Here's the Article........

However I think they should make the top 3 or top 5 stand out as well. Many times you see someone start from the back 36th spot, and actually finish in 2nd or 3rd, and they get no respect because they simply DIDN'T WIN. I honestly think they took more out to pass 35 people rather than some one who starts pole, and takes 2 tires the whole race.|

|JapCrapHater||The way I heard they're thinking of changing it is to actually make the WINS worth more than they are now. Right now it means more to be in the whole race than an actual win does. If thats the case than Ryan Newman would be kicking a$$!!!!|

Nascar Changing Points System
Well it looks like Nascar is really mad that Matt Kenseth continues to beat out there boy Dale JR. There talking about changing the way points are rewarded and every senario they have on NASCAR.com the morning has Dale JR. at he top or very close. From the bad call at Talladega to this is there any doubt about who the favorite is??
