Nemesis Way to go Ward! What a great race! I loved it when Burton, Labonte, Gordon, and Mayfield were passing each other back and forth towards the end. All I have to say is Dale JR. and Rudd are a couple of clowns. I agree Bill will take one yet, and Sterling will get another. Nevertheless, I thought Blaney ran well for a while there.

jnutz I did not get to see the race because I was at the IRC race in Joliet. It was my first big race. Kinda cool, louder than all get out. Don't think I would pay to go again, but this was free anyway. Only thing before this was county fair type stock cars. and the midgets. Nothing compares to midgets on a dirt track.

moparman If you think they're crying in Winston Cup, Nascar is doing everything it can to give cryin' Jack Sprague and Chevy the Craftsman title but I think we'll win it all - the mfg title and the driver title in Craftsman truck.

I think old Bill Elliot has a win in him this
year, too. He's getting better every weeek.

Lycosa BTW,

Does anyone know why Ward Burton and Jeff Burton have different accents despite being brothers?

Answer:They were raised on opposite ends of the house.

We got 1st,5th,6th and 9th place finishes today. Also,it seems that a couple of drivers were not too pleased with the red flag toward the end.

Dale Earnhardt,Jr. said it was staged and rigged. Gee Dale.Seems we heard the same thing about the race you won at Daytona.I bet he wouldn't have said that had our pal Blaney not have trashed Jr's car. After what he said,I'm glad he did.

Also Ricky Rudd said it was like "who does NASCAR want to give the race to today."

Maybe I was watching something different.Am I wrong in that had it not been for the red flag,Ward would have won under the previous yellow?

I'm sorry for the venting and drawn out post.It just infuriates me to hear that this race was set up,staged, rigged or whatever.

I'm sure it had nothing to do with that BIG BAD CAT DODGE INTREPID blowing those Chevys,Pontiacs and Fords off the track.

Lycosa WOO HOO!

Ward drove a great race.I really believe that Elliott will win one before the year ends.He has really been doing much better lately.

I think he will be a top 5 in the points next year.
