Not bad for me one bit! I'm very glad the car has been reliable and has treated him just as good as it treated me! Lonnie is a great guy who I knew would take good car of my baby, I felt very comfortable selling my Intrepid to him.
Side Note: I just picked up the little booger a few minutes ago. I have this silly grin plastered across my face knowing I don't have to write a check this month for a car payment. The little guy handles and rides great! It desperately needs a CD Player, so off to Ebay I go! I'm still debating whether or not to put the Bassilnk from my Jeep in it, but the auto dimming mirror is going in...I had gotten that from Joe (see Joe, 2nd Gen parts DO fit! ) This thing has ZERO tint to it, so I'll be needing it!
Well, pics to come over the weekend, I left the camera over at my girlfriend's house. I'm sure you are all dying in anticpation! :p

However its both good for intrepiddude, but bad for you that the car's been mostly flawless for him, good for him etc.
It's too bad man.
You should get some rims or something cheap for it. Just make it a bit more taseful than completely stock. No rice.
Good for a commuting car. Then there's always your fully loaded accord.

the deck is out of an 02 intrepid...... it does have the oval face opening....... and yea the wires are different, looked up the wiring harness needed for both cars on crutchfield and they list two different units :( sorry to say In2Deep but being that you have a 99 the harness's won't be compatible either
looks like on the decks 01 was the year swap over point thus second gen treps can't swap decks...well my attempt at helping others has failed again..... ahwell best of luck with that neon.

|Jus' Trepping||My buddy bought a 2000 last year... has ac.cd with 5 disc changer and the 2.0L he hasn't had a single problem with it.... it's silver! should see a change in mileage now!!|

Glad you are enjoying it! I eyeballed some Intrepids at the dealer, some had some good prices...but they weren't in the best shape...lots of scratches and dings. You know how anal I am! ;)

Anthony you must be hot stuff around here. You're the only member that can buy a 3 speed Neon with roll-up windows and draw so much attention. Hundreds of views, dozens of responses, no flames...
I'll take good care of your old car and offer it back to you in it's retirement (Long way off though). I shouldnt tell you I had six teenage girls squeezed in the back seat the other day with my daughter's rap music cranking. Good thing windows are tinted.

It's whatever the base model is.
And I mean base! Roll up windows, manual locks and mirrors...
But, it's got an automatic and A/C, rear defrost and...ummm, that's about it! I can't complain though. I got a good deal.
Trust me it's slow. I was driving a ZX2 yesterday and that thing is actually quick! Then I drove my Jeep, then the Neon...I actually thought something was wrong with it because it was so slow. It only has a 3 speed automatic (I didn't even think those were put on cars after 1976! :p
Well, I pick it up tomorrow morning..pics to follow over the weekend.
First (and only) mod: Factory CD player and my basslink gets reinstalled in the trunk.

Neon's aren't that bad... my dad owns a 99, has pretty good pickup and nearly as much HP as my trep... ok no one ever said my trep was fast
Plus Anthony, we all know you'll have another trep some day

Damm! Well I guess congrats on the new car. But you didnt answer our question. Is it an ES or an SE? Too bad U didnt get the Neon R/T. Hehehehehe. ;)
If its an SE.... well.... I definitely feel for you. I drove one for a weekend and those things are SLOW. But hey they get great gas mileage and I am well aware of your situation with the commute to justify it. ;)

The Neon can't be that slow! When I'm on vacation crusing down the interstate at 75 mph I get my doors blown off by Neons. Sat in one at the auto show, had lots of room; reminded me of my 79 horizon and 84 Omni. I beat the crap out of both of them and even today I wouldn't mine having a 90 America model instead of my POS 91 Tempo. The hatchback was very handy. Just my $0.02.

|BowTieGuy||Congrats guy. I think we should have JoeKD rig you up an intake tho. This is a tuner type of car. Then you can take it SCCA racing on the weekends. Who needs off-road?|

LOL!! Sucks gettin old, huh?! The really important things start becoming important. Funny how that works...
Hey Sport/SoundEdition...what year is the CD from? My 99 still has the tape...I'd love to upgrade.... (hint hint)

Damn Joe, we ARE gettin' up there!

on an additional note I would like to add that Anthony has now gotten so old that he can't spelll his own screen name
Look at your thread title there's supposed to be an A in the middle of INTREPIDATIOUS

Everyone else, thanks...I really expecting an uprising! It's a nice little car, sure it's no Trep...but it is a means to an end.
