check the sensors...I don't remember exactly which ones, but I had a similar problem - the engine would shut down by himself after operating some time, after I changed the sensor - everything was OK. It always good to go to the garage and check for error codes on your car's computer.

hondas toyotas or any other 4 cylinders that are not good are females. the 4 bangers that are really good 4bangers and up are males. or this is a biased opinion :)

I just has a defective ignition switch replaced with 38k on my Intrepid. My symptoms were similar to yours except that it would only happen when the inside of the cab was cold. After 3+ trips to the dealer they diagnosed at the ignition swtich. The dealer printed out a TSB but I did not see the details that it had on it.

Hopefully you don't have any aftermarket stiff installed. The dealer made me take our almost the entire aftermarket alarm system. They told me that since the after-market alarm system was connected to the ignition, they could not do anything for me since they could not trace through the aftermarket alarm system. They first told me to remove the started kill that Crapy City took out and I went back to the dealer. They then told me since the aftermarket alarm had resistors tied into the PCI bus, Crappy City removed those too. They were going to have me take it back one more time since the alarm still had power going to it. After arguing with the service manager, the head tech took the ignition switch out, tested it and told the service manager it was the ignition switch. The service manager took me back to the pit and showed me why he wanted all the Crappy City stuff taken out. The entire ignition and wiring was installed with 12 gauge speaker wire. WTF. :cussing: I'm in the process of taking pictures and sending in a complaint with an estimate a reputable car installer in my area to have the entire alarm rewired. Nice work Circuit City. :gun4: I went back to complain and the pimple faced kid at Crappy City told me they also use speaker wire for pin switches too.
