1993 3.5l Es For Sale

DCellBatteries said:
NO LONGER FOR SALE!

Hey guys. I'm putting my car in the paper and figured I'd put it up for sale here also. Its too much of a gas hog for my tastes (mom only gives 20 bucks a week for gas and my girlfriend lives in Orlando, I have to scrounge for money often, so the gas bill alone doesn't leave me with much play money)

The kelley blue book value on this car for selling to a private party is:$4,585

Air Conditioning
Power Steering
Power Windows
Power Door Locks
Tilt Wheel
Cruise Control
AM/FM Stereo
Compact Disc
Dual Air Bags
ABS (4-Wheel)
Leather
Dual Power Seats
Premium Wheels

Overall car condition selected was fair. The car is about 58985 miles on it (I entered 59,000 on kbb.com). Fairly new tires, only 2200 miles on them. Car washed once a week since I owned it (last week of July 2001). Car has a clean history, I am willing to forward the carfax report if you are not currently a carfax.com member. VIN number available upon request.

Upgrades done to the car:

Cone steel air filter (926 CFM according to add, better than K&N)
Removed air silencer
Blue Indiglo Racing pedals (they work, really cool looking).

Problems with the car:
Has a shaking problem in Over drive when going between 35-55mph. Especially when you're in the 40-50mph range. I drive it around in 3rd gear around town and it eats the gas, but its a smooth ride. Once I get on the interstates (or over 55) I shift into Overdrive. The CD player no longer plays CDs for some odd reason. Just decided to quit. It's probably a simple wiring problem. Radio does work and so does the power antenna.
The cruise control relay in the fuse box is bad, so I hooked up the pedals to that until I get a new relay. I havn't been able to find one yet, I think it maybe dealer only.
Power mirror on the drivers side doesn't work in one direction, passenger side does however work.

I've dropped about 1500 into the car:
Four new tires
6 new fuel injectors
New timing belt
New bearings on the wheels
Wheel alignment
Steel cone air filter
Racing pedals

Other than that the car works great. A/C works also. I hate to sell it, but it eats gas and I need to get something more economical. I am looking for a Nissan 300ZX non-turbo (asshole parents say the Twin turbos and GTZ's are too fast for me :( )

Any questions, post them here and I'll answer ASAP.

Car is located in Wesley Chapel Florida, near New Tampa (Bruce B. Downs BLVD). Its the last exit on I-75 before the I-275 split going towards Tampa.

I'm asking 4,000 for it. Willing to negotiate. Thanks for looking!

they took a ****, except 1. He went ahead and replaced them all. The car had been in a front end wreck. I don't think the people before me ran the engine cleaner through it every 3-4000 miles like they're supposed to. Ohh, one thing I forgot to add, brand new radiator fan assembly was also added.

I know, I'm not sure what type of car I'll get next, but since I'm only sixteen, I don't have much say so. I was lucky to get a nice car like the intrepid, but it eats too much gas. Also, I'm jobless. I'm going to start training for the new dairy queen that they havn't finished yet second-third week of November. My step dad is SO SO biased against American corporation cars like Ford, Chrysler, GM and Saturn its unbeliveable. Sadly, I'll get some kinda jap import next. He really is pushing me to get a NASTY Toyota. I'm really fighting that to the last ounce of strength. I HATE TOYOTAS. I'm pushing for a 300ZX, or Prelude VTEC or Si.

NOTE - Shaking problem fixed. It now shakes SIGNIFICANTLY less than it did before. Just a wee bit in reverse, but a mechanic mention to me that the 3.5L LH cars had a small miss in them. Maybe he's full of it, but its been so long since the car has been running this good, its hard for me to remember. I may just keep it, so if someone wants it, get it now before I change my mind!

The a/c clutch was rigged to the relay into the engine fuse box. Its grounded somehow to the engine and that makes the a/c clucth run all the time... The car has two wires rigged like this, the a/c clutch relay grounded and the radiator running completly off the fuse box relay's power. yuck.

Nevermind guys. I fixed the shaking problem completely and all my cylinders are firing now. New wires fixed it completely. My gas mileage shot through the roof. I am keeping the car now, I love it again :D Runs better than when I first test drove it.

both wrong, 59,000 miles. The car was in a front end wreck in 98 I think, and was beaten. I have spent a lot of money fixing it up, its running better now than it did when I first got it. I'm very confident in it now, thus I want to keep it.
