Hello again,

I'm back and with more questions. I've been shopping around for a decent cold air intake set-up for my 2000 ES with the 3.2 liter and was thinking about a few things... Does anyone know if the 2.7 K&N FIPK will fit the 3.2? Also, is there a 3.2 version I am just not finding? What other companies make an intake for my engine? No offense to JoeKD but i'm looking for something a little more streamlined like the K&N. Any help would be great, and would get me more encouraged to do my first performance mod, a air intake. Before i forget.... does the turbonator advertised on the top banner work well? Does anyone have experience with it? Is it worth the 70$ a piece? Do i need more than one? Will it fit an aftermarket intake? Also, what else can i do to improve gas mileage and general "health" of my engine? Its a recently purchased ride and i have no clue if the guy before me took good care of it. Runs decently for a 2000. Speaking of engines... Does anyone make a dual exhaust for a 2000 ES? Even if its just 2 out of a single input muffler i'd take that. How much HP could i gain out of this? would this reduce gas mileage? Thanks guys I love how easy it is to get answers on this site!!

k&n makes a air intake kit for all the trep engines i have one for my recently destroyed trep its from a 2.7 sounds and runs good and it u want a exhaust it depends wut u want, do u want fart cans or muscle tone. i had dual exhaust but it was a flowmaster series 80 muffler i think and the it went on to two pipes to two 4x18in magnaflow tips. u could always try trubendz.com but i paid for my exhaust was 536 install its was fully welded and with stood and accident of 110+ backwards here take a look its looks and sounds mucluar tone take a look at this ok this was my car.. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cf...n=5BFB59D7-A3C5-127E-2F8F780A0F76001B62310940

The FIPK for the 3.5 fits the 3.2, as the motors are identical on the exterior. As far as its known, these are the only intakes for the Intrepid.

If you want one, I charge $230 shipped for an FIPK.

Sorry to hear about your beautiful intrepid man. I was the one making fun of the body kits earlier but now that i look at the pics again it was a pretty hot car. I love the dual exhaust look as well. How much of the exhaust would you say I upgrade? Should i just do traditional cat-back or from header to tip? Also, how much did your entire dual exhaust mod cost you? Is this something I could install myself? I'd much rather have the muscle-car tone over anything else. Did you notice any improvement in power or response off the line with your dual exhaust?

I'd be interested in the FIPK, but It would be a little while before i had any money for car mods. I like to plan everything out ahead of time and get my sources together before I buy anything. Also... What does the FIPK come with in the pacakage? Is the tube a one-piece design? What materials are used in its production? How long would this take me to install? What areas of the engine bay does the heat shield cover?

Thanks a lot! :fawkoff: .........awkward

Its ABS plastic, a once piece tube, has a plastic heat shield with it. You won't get a muscle car tone from aynthing with less than 8 cylinders.
