I recently had some problems with my 2006 Dodge Magnum. 3.5L V6. Stalled at stop lights, stalled going 60mph on highway, but then started again. Engine Light would illuminate steady then the ESP/BAS light would come on and the engine light would blink and beep. Then stalled.

Here are the codes and what they did to fix it.

Code
  • P-0300 mulitcyl misfire
  • P-0335 crank position sensor
  • P-0016 Crank and Cam Timing MisAlignment
Fix:
Replaced Crank position sensor cleared codes. Road Tested 11 Miles o.k. Retested for fault codes and none found. Tested ESP/BAS system but no faults found.

It's been an hour and so far no troubles. It was 1.5 hours of labor and $206.10 USD.

I still like it though.

Hi there Magnum guy. Welcome to the site.

It's good to hear you got it fixed. Changing the crank sensor is something you could have changed yourself - 30 minutes max. The crankshaft sensor is about a $15 dollar part online. If you find yourself a good dedicated Magnum website or one dedicated to the LX platform it is from, you can find a wealth of knowledge that may help you save money in the future.

Glad to hear you got it fixed! There are a few websites dedicated to your platform (lx) of cars. I don't know if there is a rule against posting them but, there is lxforums.com and magnumownersclub.com . There would be alot more of a wealth of knowledge (for you anyway) on either of those sites!
