i got a connection up in MI, some guy is getting rid of a racing motor he used in one of his cars, its a block off of a 3.3l used in the intrepid. he tells me that it has different heads, and a higher lift duration in the cam. what caught my eye was...the fact that it is a (relatively) high revving engine. he emailed me some info on the specs of the motor, cause i told him i was interested in looking into purchasing it for a possible swap.
here goes:
-0 ---25 HP @ 6700
230 LB/FT @ 5300
Redline at 7500
3.3l fuel injected v-6, 60 deg. arch.
8 quart oil capacty., no radiator, no trans,
the only problem that i see in swapping the engine is the transmission. how difficult would it be to mate this motor (which drove the rear) with our car's horizontal front drive trans? and more importantly, would the 2500 bucks he's looking to get for it be more cost than its worth (since the transmission is pretty inefficient)?
