lol ment "deff" or "diff" = difference
so i guess my best chance at winning would be to have both us start at the finish line, me with my engine off, and have the mustang floor it in reverce...
LOL I guess so.

But hey don't forget that the 3.5 Trep offers better ride quality, comfort and more space:bgtup: although the first 2 options I listed, especailly the latter can be argued:biggrin:

WTF happened to your Mustang Spook????????? No longer have it?
Yes the wife keeps hiting walls with hers. She can't drive in the snow with a rear wheel drive car. So i traded in the GT. And got a 2009 Sonata Limited. My summer car and her winter car. But i did just picked up a 1974 Dodge Charger SE. With only 39,000 miles. With a 400 Magnum big block under the hood.

Actually, those Intrepid times are a little slow....

More like 0-60 in 7.8 secs & 1/4 mile in 16.0 @ 89 mph with a top speed of 139 mph

Still no threat to a Mustang GT. Nothing to be ashamed of though....like comparing Apples to Oranges. A V8 vs a V6. So how does the R/T compare to the V6 Mustang? Well the V6 is still quicker with the 4.0 0-60 in 6.5 for the manual and about 6.9 for the auto. BUT....the Mustang is limited to 112 mph vs the Treps 139 mph and has an actual usable back seat. The Mustangs rear seat is good for little kids maybe.

My wifes 06 Pony Pkg V-6 auto does the 1/4 mile in 14.8. With a Cai and a tune. Most stock V-6 Autos are 15.1 to 15.3 sec's in the 1/4 mile. Sticks are only .1 or .2 faster with a really good driver. Meaning better than Car and Driver. When they tested the 1st Gts with auto and sticks. The auto was faster by a .1 to .2. True the top end on the R/Ts are faster. The wifes Pony tops out at 115 mph. If you take the limiter out. And go above 120 mph the driver shaft comes apart!!!

Don't know why a limiter is on My Magnum (117 mph) The cop versions will do 131 mph with the limiter off, so it's not an engine issue. Course they did the same (stupid) thing with the Intrepid SXT also. Yet the lowly 1.8 Dodge Caliber can do 119 mph because it has no limiter. Figure that one out....

I think if you stick to the same model year of Mustang as your Intrepid, you'd have a better chance. You'd still LOSE, but it would be a much closer race ;) I like beating up on V6 Mustangs all day long in the Intrepid and LHS ;)
