I left my 96 trep w/3.5 home today and took the wifes caddy STS to work. I have a stretch that is about 8 miles of 8 lane interstate that has a long (2mi) uphill grade. I was in the left lane going about 75mph and a ranger 4x4 ran up my tail pipe. he pulled along beside me and i floored it. ha-ha. what a joke. 4.0L versus northstar 300hp. he looked small real fast. now i wish the trep had legs like that. maybe nitrous. :)

Those Northstar Cadillacs are no joke, that engine is awesome with it's dual overhead camshafts, 32 valves, and a decent transmission putting the power to the ground. Too bad they are FWD or I would have already bought one.

the STS is a 96. i got it 3 yrs ago when it had 53K miles. it needed a little work, mostly cosmetic but I got it for 12.5K. it is front wheel drive like my trep though. it has the 4T80E trans. very nice and bulletproof I'm told. very different ride. both of my cars need new tires I think. good tread but funny handling issues.
