well, i thought some of you would like to see this.

i saw an intrepid with chrome 300m wheels (dirty) in a parking lot today, and had my camera with me...

Wow...with those wheels on, you can see how similar the intrepid looks to the LHS and 300M. They look pretty good though.

I'm pretty sure they were chrome. It's hard to tell in the picture, but they were very dirty covered with salt, etc...

I think those rims were from the first model year 300m. I think after the first year they changed the rim slightly to have a few more spokes.

Look at my father's 2002 300m. Those are the silver rims, but they have more spokes. The rims on that Intrepid were from the first year 300m (either 98 or 99 - I forget when the 300m was introduced).

PS. Chrome rims don't look very nice on light coloured cars, dirty or not.
