Does anyone know if the 300M emblems on the fenders and trunk lid are double sided tape or rivited in? I am buying a 300M special as soon as it comes out and I want to know if the car is going to have to go into the body shop right away or if I can just take of the emblems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Someone posted a link to pics of a modified 300M a month or so ago. The badges were removed and it didnt appear he had to patch any holes. He shaved the trunk lock, and rear door handles, and had pictures before he repainted the car and there was no filler or primer where the badges were, just around the stuff he removed.

Maybe ottrworkr(sp?) knows since he is around the construction of them..

kilrfx -all emblems on the 300 are stick on(except the one on the front grill it is bolted on), so yes they can easily be removed. Now if you want to remove the ones on the front fender you will be left with a hole. This hole is were we put the turn signal lights on 300's going to Europe. North American cars do not get these lights so a sticker is put in its place to cover the hole. So unless you want to fill in these holes and repaint the front fenders you will have to leave this sticker on or find a pair of the turn signal lights that go on the Euro cars. We are not as yet building the Special , I have heard some time in Nov we will start building these. If you are interested in a 300 site check out this one http://www.300mclub.org/ and also http://townhall.edmunds.com/cgi-bin/townhall sign up and chat with a bunch of 300 owners.

Oh Boy, have we ever had it out on this board about that shifter! :)

They aren't making those shifters anymore. Due to quality control standards, they discontinued them. They are very cool aren't they? Only place you are going to find them is on a used 300M. (or a Prowler)
