I know the swap is plug+play(some may need an additional cable) and has been discussed many times.
My radio/tapedeck+4cd player are two separate units. I assume that's the way all 2000s came from the factory.

Are all the 2002+ radio/6cds a combined unit?

1: Will both of the units below fit the opening where my radio/tape deck is (leaving me with a space where the original 4cd changer was)?

If I go with either one of them I will need a wiring harness adapter P/N 82207541, and I can use my existing HU to changer cable?

1: 1998 2005+ Chrysler Dodge Jeep AM FM 6 DISC CD RBQ RDS
Part # P05091979AF

2: 2005 Jeep Liberty Limited AM FM 6 DISC CD CHANGER EQ RDS
Part # P56038622AI

They both look exactly the same but the part#s are nowhere near each other.
I’ve seen a few on Ebay but most of them start with the part# P0509xxxxXX

The one from the 98 should only be head unit/changer CONTROLLER, didn't notice if it had a cd slot.

The Libby one MIGHT be entirely self contained (head unit and intergrated 6 disc changer-you could then get the cubby that fits where the regular 4 or 6 cd changers go. This would require the harness/antenna adapter you mentioned for anything up to 02. 02+ are plug & play just the way they come.
