Well I worked on the car for 8 hours last night. 4:45-12:45 I was surprised it was an actual 8 hours. Gave it a good wash+dry, Wax, interor and rim polishing. Wow the car looks amazing, and as I wake up this morning I hear pitter patter on the roof, its raining. ****in bits my ass, but I guess the car is prepared for winter. Just that it will get dirty when I pull out of the garadge this morning.

I bet if I ran my car through the wash today, even though the forecast is for dry conditions through the upcoming week, somehow it would rain.

Try living in Seattle. It's rained off and on each day for the last 3 to 4 weeks or so and my car looks horrible.

My favorite part is that it mostly rains when I'm not at work and seems to only rain when I have the time to wash it...

Ah well. It's getting to the point where I'm tempted to just wash in in the rain just to get the buildup off. I'm sure my neighbors will get a kick out of that.

look at the positive side, by giving the car a good waxing all you have to do now is a quick water wash and dry and it'll look great again, this is why I was sure to put two coats of wax on my rims, if they look dull I pull into the self service spray wash, hit the rims, tires + wheelwells, towel dry, pull out an armor-all wipe and presto!! Show car shine in less than 10 minutes.

A question, do you have to let a car sit after you have waxed it? (like buffed it and you are totaly finnished) To let it sit in the sun or in a warm enviroment to let the wax settle in? or is it once its done its as good as its going to get?

!!!!!!!HOT DAM!!!!!!!!! Glad to see that it's not just me..... Man do i feel your pain. I don't know about you guys, but it takes me a good 2 hours to wash my car. including the rims. Seems like to me that no matter what if it don't rain, Something is going to mess up the good shine. For example driving through a neighborhood, and someone will have there sprinklers on. and the road is soaking wet, Which we all know that mean....... Something has got to be done to prevent this from happening. Maybe they could add a feature to the GPS systems which tells you where the wet spots are........

you think just rain is bad? last week i had just washed my car and i was going down the highway and i hit some road construstion. as i was going through they were sawing cement blocks. the saws use water and i got a bunch of that wetted down cement dust all over the front of my car. i got home and me being so lucky as i am it wont come off ....most of its on my lebra but theres a bunch of spots on my mirrors god i was pissed
