just some quick info to anyone shopping for replacement bulbs. I just ordered HID style white bulbs to replace my original headlights and couldn't find the replacement 9006XS style bulbs anywhere, a little time and a couple hundred websites later I found this jeep enthusiast website that showed the difference in the bulbs headlight replacement

The only difference is the connector (90 degrees instead of straight) so I ordered 9006 style bulbs for my low beams and H3 bulbs for my fogs.

I also have LED replacement bulbs for all my marker and tail lights, lifetime warranty and they are supposed to be brighter, cooler burning and faster lighting than regular bulbs null
Just the lifetime warrany part make them worth my time, I don't really think my eyes are good enough to enjoy the benefits of 96% faster lighting.

I'm going to wait till the PIAA's come in before installing anything so I don't have to pull my headlight assemblies out twice in one month, I'd rather do the whole job at once.

the red ones can be found at just about any ricer site, the Amber were harder to locate, I ended up getting them from a trucker site (kenworths, not s-10's) I'll post the name and contact info on monday when I get back to work and can look at the invoice.

Be careful if you are shopping for LED bulbs, they are not all the same!!! Make sure you get the 15-led model with the lifetime warranty, the ones I bought are made by these guys led lights

their website has all the info, brightness, temp differences and also the lifetime warranty info

I hate those direct replacement LED tail-light bulbs. Although some people like them, I would hate to be behind someone with those... especially on a sunny day. Good luck trying to see their brake lights with those. When I first saw them a year and a half ago, I bought a couple and had them in my dakota. Someone behind me told me my brake lights weren't working. They just weren't bright enough. That's why I decided to make my own retrofitted LED tail lights... but that requires a lot more work than most people would like. The LEDs they use for those just can't get any brighter than they already are, and you can't fit any more on the bulb before it won't fit through the hole in the tail light. I have a couple amber colred LEDs of the latest design where one LED is brighter than 30 of the brightest LEDs of the design on the bulb replacements that they are selling. The only problem is that it requires a heat transferrable board (aluminum) with a heatsink and they have to be spaced one inch apart. To be legal you'd still need at least 3 to 5 for a brake light so they won't fit through the hole that the original bulb goes through. Perfect for a side marker though because I mounted it directly onto the body of the car with a hollowed out side marker lens over it. It's just a little bit brighter than a standard 5watt side marker bulb. Anyways, this is just my opinion. I haven't seen these particular retrofitted replacements (so there's a slim chance they could be bright enough), but from what I know about LEDs, I'm pretty sure they can't be bright enough to be seen safely during the day. I don't even wanna think about how they'd be in the fog.

As a comparison, I have those same type LEDs that you mentioned (although not on the bayonet base) in my tail lights right now as a parking light... they're just a little bit brighter than standard tail-lights (without brake lights) when you're within the 30 degree angle, and just about as bright when you're out of the "hot spot" beam of the LEDs. The catch is, each tail-light has 92 of them. OK now I'm done rambling :)
