Hrrrrrmmmmmm... From what I remember in the old days, the 1st gen 3.5 TBs (there are 2 of them) are already more than the engine can breath through... But I could be wrong.

I do know, the first mod you should make is to remove the air horn in the intake tubing.

I haven't had the chance to make any mods to mine yet, but in the past I did the air horn mod to mine. Makes it sound good anyway.

Air horn has been removed. Running a free flow cold air intake tube. Cat guts deleted...
One thing I was going to do and didn't get to last time I owned one, was build an ABS intake tube to replace the factory air delivery ducting.

I'm all for simpler performance mods, and I'm not trying to be environmentalist, honestly. Gutting the cats I don't want to do because my factory exhaust had zero defects. No rush no rot. Cats, unless damaged, aren't THAT restrictive. The old school pellet filled cats from GM in the 80s I think used to more so, but the modern cake cats are really very high flowing.

I like the sound of the factory 3.5 exhaust. Mine at least has a bit of an "Eleanor" vibe that I really like. I do wish I could get more of that hollow sound without it being unstreetable.
