I have been noticing my 96 ES riding bumpy and rough... I got under the car to check out the shocks and stuff and I noticed the... I don't know, the name of it, I forget, but it's the piece that the spring rests on, is torn to hell and hanging off, obviously doing some flapping, I was going to invest in some new springs and stuff and fix that in the meantime but I have no $$$ :(

those cushions are a pain in the butt. They don't do much except for controlling how much everything rattles up there. Some guys at a car shop let me in on a secret. Get about 8-10" of Rubber Heater Hose, big enough inside diameter to cover the spring, and slide it over. may take a little grease to work it on. The rubber can take the pressure, and also is a good cushon to prevent noise. Also, it is really cheap. (under a dollar a foot)

Hope this helps anyone with that problem

I'm guessin' you lube up yer hoes and begin inserting your spring. (LHSer can get you some hoes cheaper than a dollar a foot too)
