While driving the other day the dreaded Check Engine light came on. After checking the codes, I am getting p0700, p0740 & P0300.

The car's idle is a little low and rough but runs great on the road. The tranny shifts fine but I suspect that the overdrive may not be working.

I've already replaced the air filter, plugs and wires. I'm thinking about replacing the fuel filter and cleaning the idle air control valve too for the idle problem.

For the tranny codes I'm not sure where to start.

For the misfire code, I'm hoping it's goes away with the tranny/fuel fixes.

I know what the codes are indicating, however before I start the process of replacing parts I was wondering if anyone could offer some advise on where to start. After reading many posts, there are many things to consider.

I really don't feel like putting a lot of time and $$$ into replacing unnecessary parts.

Let me know what you think.
