I have a 1998 Dodge Interpid ES that I love. First start in the morning is OK, but after subsequent trips the car will start and quickly idle down and die unless I floor it and rev it for a few seconds - then it idles rough and gradually smooths out. If I don't catch it the first time I have to crank until it catches and keep flooring it or wait 30minutes to and hour and its fine for the rest of the day. This happens especially during weather changes.???????
It has been doing this for 5 years. Sometimes but rarely the check engine light will come on. The dealer has been useless. Once the problem occurs it
is nearly impossible to recreate and the computer shows nothing.
The dealer said that if the check engine light comes on the info is stored in the computer - that hardly happens. I'm tired of paying $70 bucks a pop for
them to scratch their heads.
ANY INTREPID EXPERTS...Help!!! :barf:
