'99 Intrepid climate fan motor resistor in a '97 Intrepid...?

Hi, I'm replacing a bad climate fan motor resistor in my '97 Intrepid. I have an Automatic Climate Control feature. Can I safely use a resistor from a '99 Intrepid in my '97?

Both resistors basically look the same, except, on the '99 one, you can see the circuit board when you look into the connection area.

I've attached some pictures of the resistors side by side. The bad resistor in the one on the right.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Interesting. I'd say go for it!

$221 for those at Vatozone! Wonder what the dealer charges?
why a new thread?

they are interchangeable. as shown in the link of your other thread.

Keep an eye on things. You may have a blower motor going south which can cause the resistor to overheat and burn out.

Thats one of the items I pick up when I'm at the pick and pull regardless of I have a current need or not
