OK, I am looking into getting new speakers, both for the doors and the rears. I have found a couple that seem to be pretty decent for the price I am looking for. I am trying to choose between Cerwin Vega's or Infiniti Kappa's. I am leaning towards the Infinity's because they seem to have better specs than the Vega's and are cheaper.

CERWIN VEGA:
7" IT-72E
89dB
51-20k
65w
max out 130w
$129.95

6x9 IT-693
90dB
50-20k
100w
max out 200w
$169.95

INFINITY:
6.5" Kappa 63.3i
90dB
45-22k
75w
max out 225w
$139.95

6x9"
90dB
33-22k
110w
max out 330w
$149.95

So, I am left with a tough decision. Any input on these speakers, on thier value, price, recommendations.

Yes...I am Orion's *****...but I just got a set of these of e-bay for my sister's cavalier, and all I can say is wow...

Orion 93CX 6x9
92db
80W RMS
3ohm
Pivoting tweeter

EXTERNAL crossover, this is very important because most coaxials do not low-pass the woofer, forcing it to waste energy on frequencies it cannot produce. Plus if you ever expand your system they can be bi-amped.

They can usualy be had for around $130, but they often show up on e-bay new(thats were i got my sis') for around $50-75.

Otherwise the Infinity's are pretty good, Ive have played with the cerwin 6x9s a bit, while they tend to do punchy midbass very well, the tweeters cannot compare to the Inifity's..

I cant remember if your a first gen or a 2nd gen, but those 7" cerwins will not fit a 1st gen without some cutting and possibly some door panel re-work..

Look into MB Quart for the door speakers, sound domain had some for a decent price recently, and they make some of the smoothest sounding tweeters around.
