My mother asked me if there is a way to record from a computer to a cassette tape?

Sure.

What she will need is a tape deck or recorder with some sort of audio input, and the appropriate cable.

She would then plug one end of the cable in to her "Audio Out" or "Line Out" jack on the computer and in to the "Audio In" or "Line In" jack on the tape deck/recorder. Press record on the tape, press play on the computer, and there you go.

You can go to Radio Shack and buy an adapter: It goes from 1/8" in to stereo RCA out. You connect the 1/8" to your audio out on the pc and RCA cables to your tape deck. Then simply play what you want on the pc and record on the tape deck.

Yes, I just bought one last week. They are like 5-6 bucks from radio shack.
