OK, just got back from lunch, and when I went to arm my alarm, my car didn't "beep" So I looked into it further, and all it is doing is locking and unlocking the doors?

I also tried to start my car with the remote and that wouldn't work either?? I did get the lights flashing, so I'll have to look up those codes when I get home??

This sucks

It's an Avistart 6000 if anyone knows anything about them?

OK, I'm a dumbass

I did make sure I didn't kick my valet switch, but I forgot I have to have my key in the ignition to change the mode back!!

I'm pretty sure that's the problem...

I have an Avital alarm but I have to get the book at home to find the correct model. I have the same problem. Mine started after I brought it home from the dealer..after he had it for 3 weeks replacing the cooling system fan motors. I believe the alarm can be disengaged with a switch mounted somewhere inside the vehicle. On my RAM it's under the dash, however I can't find it on my 'Trep. Check out your interior and/or talk to your installer and find out where it's at! Hope that helps!! I'm on my way to my installer this evening!!
