Which one did you get and how difficult was it to install. The standard antenna just gets on my nerve, it looks like crap, the reception sucks, and i have to pry it off every time I go through the car wash.

Oh and important... I would need to put this on the factory infinity headunit. Can this be done?

Hey Anthony... wouldnt doing the antenna be a little involved? Would probably have to run power from the battery leads to the trunk. If thats the case, might as well do the subwoofer as well.... but thats not something I would want to do on my own. Hehehehe. I was just gonna have Tony at Tones do it, but i dunno.

Lemme look into the Antennas. Actually something I definitely want to do regarding the OTIS is to change all my lights (Headlights, FogLights, ConsoleLights) to PIAA bulbs. Would that interest you?

Don't know if I can afford the lights right now...but I want to change the console lights to blue LED's.

There should already be power back by the antenna. Hell, there's power all over the car! We'll figure something out. but, you might want to have Tone do it. ??

What bult type is used in the console? As long as I'm doing all my exterior lights PIAA, might as well do interior.

Bringing this back from the dead...

Has anyone here installed a power antenna in a 2nd Gen? I'm looking at options and advice. I tried the 3 links above, but they're long gone... Anyone??

I pulled mine out because I was never able to get any radio reception. The antenna would go up and down no problem... power/ground/remote connected. Motorola antenna wire connected to the back of the HU. I even replaced the antenna from crutchfield and the 2nd one did the same thing.

All i got was static. I spent four hours with BC42825 who knows his **** about Audio. We had the voltmeter out measuring all kinds of stuff. Couldn't figure it out.

I'd love to install the power antenna again... but im not doing it if its going to kill my reception and defeat the purpose.

Hmmmm....that's not good. Because of my spoiler, I would like to go the power antenna route, but I don't want to lose reception.... I'll keep diggin for options! Thanks for the info!

Well I know MobbDeep has a power antenna installed... and so does Intrepid99. Both of them have no problems so I have no clue why I had issues.
