The idea of using springs clamps to lower the car is an interesting one. I have read a few articles on it and it seems that as long as you do it right it can be effective. It is cheap, easy, adjustable, and reversible.
Very good points. When doing it you really can only do one coil. I would guess that would lower it by about 1". I think that if one were to let it wouldn't make a big difference. When you blow a tire or drive around on a donut one strut/spring is a different length then the others.
