For the past 7 years the 300M Club has had a meet in Indianapolis in month of May.
It appears this may be our last offical meet at this event.
We are extending (a bit late I'm afraid) the invation to those in the LH community to join us at the event.
We do tend to spent quite some time at the track, after all it is INDY and it is simply amazing.
There is plenty of time to also spend, in the usual LH community fashion, just chillin and enjoying each others company.
Sometimes there is even time for a few quick mods or fixin as we are all acostom to diong at meets.
Join us for any or all of the weekend.
Breif Overview (as with any meet, schedule subject to change) of Indy's Past
Friday: Early arrivals gather for breakfast, swap some lies, go to the track. As members arrive thru the day, typically gather in the hotel lot in the afternoon to welcome the family. Some form of nutrition and refreshment planned by participants.
Saturday: Those signed up for track lap/breakfast depart early AM, Yard run / fixin /chillin by others that usually join the group at the track later in the day. Saturday night dinner as a group (or whatever) followed by evening parking lot fellowship..
Sunday : AM Show & Shine Take Pride in your Ride Noon off to the track for final qualifications and "Bump Day"

A little desperation trying to get a few more peeps in your meet?

Just seems the 300m club doesn't want to bother with the rest of the LH commoners unless it might benefit them. That's what I'm seeing. Could be wrong as always!

You know Bob, Ron has a point. I'm not trying to stir the pot either...seriously.

Why the invitation all of sudden and nothing during the prior years?

It has been an oversight in the past. Suggested by one of our members today so we figured we would offer.
This year we actually have more members signed up than the last 3-4 years.
No harm, no foul, just an invite.

There are other things to do....a group of us (in the past) have gone yarding while everyone else is at the track.

No benefit to us at all, as Bob said we have a very large group coming to the meet. It was great to have everyone together at Carlisle last year and we were hoping to carry that over into 2013.

Like any other meet there is a fair ammount of prep work that is done in advance of the event. Over the years this event that started off with around 20 members has dwindled to only a few members attending. The event coordinators had decided last year would be last time to host an offical event. Some discussion and persuation it was agreed to do it one last time. Some of us still may make the trip in some way but we will see what the future brings.
