yea, I want to get these tires, they are 255/45/17 Sumitomo HTR Z2's and I'm pretty much set on them, they are somewhere around $125 each [prices vary by place] and I keep reading awesome reviews on tirerack.com, I just wanted some of ur guys' opinions.
Also, I am looking for some 17x8 wheels to wrap them around... Trying to stay under $200/wheel. I really like the konig line, and they offer the most in that size. I think the black opal finish would look SWEET with my paint job [I posted some pics in the show off section, havent got around to changing my sig.]

-thanx for advice/opinions, Josh

Hey PURPLE, you are right about the tire size. I will probally go with the 245/45/17. basically, a Mustang set-up. About tires, what do you need to know. By the way, FALKIN makes a great tire and at even a better price ex: 225/60/16 $58/ 235/60/16 $62. If the money is not there for me soon, I am just going to chrome out my aluminum wheels and buy the 235/60/16. I should not spend more than $600( $250 for the tires and $350 for the chroming from a friend )

thanx for the back up warloard... hehe. Well I guess Ill have to stick with the reviews on Tirerack.com... they all say that these tires kick ass. Also, how much are falkens in the size that i want? and does the tred design look as awesome as the sumitomos?. I guess im pretty set on getting them, unless someone has a really good reason for me not too. there are other tires made in that size, but we also have to worry about the weight index... on the first gens, it has to be above 95. Whatever happens, I cant wait till xmas.

Funny, when I looked at the title of this topic, I thought that was a weird name for tires. Until I walked outside and realized that is what is on my Intrepid! :)

When I had my aftermarket rims put on the car, I had new tires mounted also. The only thing I remembered was that I had never heard of the brand before....well, now I have! I've had them for around 10,000 miles and I lie them very much, the car handles alot better and has alot more grip then the stock tires.

I am a big tire guy. The Summ...'s is a great tire for the price. It does have a really cool tread design that does not only look good but acts even better. The Falkins, I think, have a nicer tread design ( ZEIX DESIGN ) but I think the other brand has a little better traction. Both tires are going to run the same, CHEAP! Me personally, I am a loyal Falkin man for like 7 years already. For all of those 16" guys out there, the Summ....'s 245/50/16ZR are less than $100 and the Falikns the same

yea, but i heard that Kuhmos have less treadlife then both metioned. and in the tirerack reviews, the faulkens were said to have less treadwear as well!
This seems like an all around good tire, nothing bad have i heard of it, so ill get them when I do have the money.

I just mounted a set of 245/45/17 Kumho's on mine. The Exsta 712's, LOve them so far. I studied all the reviews on tire racks site for a solid month before deciding, and for $100 a tire, I couldn't have gone wrong! They really are quiet, responsive, offer very good off the line traction, and handle as well in the rain as they do on dry land! Even my wife pat me on the back when she drove it! "good job honey" sshe said!
