My dad is looking for a new car and is thinking about the Hennessey Motorsports Venom 800 Twin Turbo. I was wondering if any of you know if these cars are good or not. I know that they are fast and have a pretty good reputation but was just wondering if these are all they are put up to be. Hopefully they are so I can get my dads 2001 Porsche 911 Carrera.

Hey, not a bad car 700 HP and 700 ft lbs torque at the "rear" wheels/ not bad, Im sure an Intrepid could show it up, LOL, I wish. seems to be a great car, done by a respectable car tuner.

have your dad sell the porsche and get you an older viper GTS or RT/10...you'd much rather have that instead..trust me on this.

Go see for yourself. In the Multimedia section on the main page there are two videos of a venom 800TT doing a quarter mile that I sent to Randy. The only thing I heard was that they were having trouble with either burning too much oil or leaking it.. one of the two. But if you wanna talk performance the 800TT can do it.. how does 0-60 in 2.4 sound?
