1. Wash: Bullet wash

2. Wax: Mothers Gold Carnuaba Wax

3. Rims: 2 coats nu-finish wax

4. Tires: Armor all wipes

5. Interior: Armor All wipes

6. Engine: nothing (yet)

wash - I use a car wash that I picked up from the dealership,

paint seal - same, came in the box with the car wash.

wax - Mothers Carnuba wax, this is good stuff.

rims - Mothers aluminum rim polish

tires - black majic tire tint (blue)

wheel wells - Armorall

interor - slightly dampened cloth, just to take the dust off. and vacume, if there is dirt in the carpet I take a stiff brush with a little water and clean it off.

another thing about washing cars, you have to be careful to the amount of soap you use, soaps are harsh towards the paint, I only use the soap about once every other week. the other times I use a car wash brush that hooks up to the hose.

since when were car wash soap harsh to your car? the whole point of using a "car wash" soap is so it aint harsh, your probably thinking about dish detergent or hand soaps...every bottle i've see of car wash soap says its safe on your car. i honestly never heard someone say that too much "car wash soap" will harm your paint

I also never heard of too much soap being harmful.....I would worry though using no soap at all when washing....If you dont clean the dirt off it will scratch when rinsing off with a brush or drying. I had that happen to me before. It was pretty dusty and i just sprayed it with a hose because I didn't have any soap around and after drying the dust and dirt was still visible.....just my opinion from past experiences....

soaps only get harsh on paint if you don't rinse it off very well. it takes a long time for soap to attack paint/clearcoat.

if just dusty bucket wash with water /complete hose before and after /towell dry, no problems thats why you put wax on your car.

Armor All wipes are the best thing to ever happen. They make glass cleaner, armor all cleaner and armor all protectant. I've been using these for about a year now. They aren't as good as a true detailing but are the best for a quick lunchtime car cleanup session. I keep a can of the glass wipes in my trunk at all times for the unexpected bird poop or bug splat episodes and the cleaner wipes are helpful when carrying the kids on the leasther interior.

And no, I am not an Armor All salesman. I just spend way too much money on their products.

As for using soap, as long as you are using an actual car wash and not dishwashing liquid it is designed to be safe for your car. You would have to wash your car three or four times a day for it to be harmful. Just be sure the car is cool and you are not washing it in direct sunlight.
