So i was heading to work this morning, and was stopped at a stop light, with no one behind me...so im sittin there waitin, doin my stop light thang, when I'm rear ended by a 80's model LX Mustang...And of course, it didnt get obsorbed into the bumper...her front was lower than my back...so it goes right under me...shoving my 3 MONTH OLD DUAL EXHAUST A FOOT AND A HALF in the wrong direction! Along with crinkling the spare tire casing, breaking the spark tire compartment, cracking, and down-shifting the back bumper, and bending the trunk hood a bit...i've still got pieces of her head/fog lights in my bumper. AND OF COURSE, it was detailed yesterday...Sorry u guys, i had to vent

Sorry to hear about the car. I hope you are ok. Do you plan on getting it fixed, or do you hope to get a newer Intrepid?

I'm getting it fixed, I just hope the flomaster doesnt have to be COMPLETELY replaced...maybe just rebent..i dont know if insurance would pay for a new flowmaster...Yah, the girl was just not watching...she cleared the railroad tracks(i saw her headlights rise...then fall...then dramatically increase in size) and cleared right into me...i tried jumping up and down in my trunk to get the spare tire compartment back into somethign close to its original shape(i looked pretty stupid) but i dont weigh enough. The only upside, is that they may replace/repaint my trunk lid...goodbye cat scratches...here comes spoiler..

Damn, glad no one was hurt!!!!!!! My Intrepid was wreck 4 days ago today thanks to a no good SOB red light runner...... And now this. Well, like you said there's an upside to it. I'm also getting a spoiler after my car gets fixed. In my opinion, This is an apparent terrorist attack on our intrepids..... and I believe Pontiac, Ford and Chevy has something to do with it. And as you know GMC is harboring Chevy, and Pontiac. SO you can blame them also.......

Yeah... I think there is a conspiracy!! Notice how now one writes in saying they wrecked their trep by running into a tree or something - it's always a Ford running a light. We lost our beloved green 98 last April when a woman in a (yep, you guessed it) Ford Escort ran a red light. Both cars totaled. My wife was pregnant at the time so thank God no one was seriously hurt. Our little Intrepid fan is healthy as can be. With the insurance $$ we upgraded to an ES with all the bells and whistles. So we got the trep we always wanted. But you never get over your first love. . . :(

Hey, does anyone know what i should do(if i can) to get the insurance company to replace my exhaust?(flowmaster) i had all the receipts for upgrades and repairs to my 300zx, and they paid for that stuff...i have the receipt for my exhaust. i should be hearing back from the claim agent tomorrow...and it goes into the shop tomorrow(badass mechanic shop, a dozen bays, on-site body shop)...they can remake a car if they want to. I saw them take a totalled 76 vette, but they guy had the money for them to fix it, and they brought back a car that was nearly torn in half...im hopin they can fix me up soon. I'm going to try to take some pics to show u guys HOW FAR up my exhaust was shoved. Any help with the insurance info would be greatly appreciated.
